Welcome to the official website of the Carbondale Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Incorporated!
Since our chartering in 1978 by twelve visionary women, the Carbondale Alumnae Chapter has remained committed to sisterhood, scholarship, service, and social action throughout Carbondale and the greater Southern Illinois community. Our charter members recognized the power of collective service and established a legacy that continues to guide our chapter today.
Grounded in the mission and values of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Incorporated, our chapter develops programs and initiatives aligned with the Sorority’s Five-Point Programmatic Thrust:
Through these areas, we strive to develop meaningful programs, strengthen community partnerships, support educational opportunities, promote health and wellness, encourage economic empowerment, and remain responsive to the evolving needs of the communities we serve.
For more than four decades, the Carbondale Alumnae Chapter has proudly carried forward the vision of our Founders and charter members. As we honor that rich legacy, we are equally committed to building for the future—creating opportunities to serve, connect, empower, and make a lasting impact throughout Southern Illinois.
